Official announcement of possession of Pointe-du-Moulin and the Silo No. 5 by the Canada Lands Company

MONTREAL, Oct. 28 / CNW / – The Canada Lands Company (CLC) announce that she will officially become the owner of the Pointe-du- mill and its silo No. 5 from 1 November 2010. On this occasion, President and CEO of CLC, Mark B. Laroche, was joined by the Honourable Christian Paradis, Minister responsible for Greater Montreal, Gerald Tremblay, Mayor of Montreal and Sylvie Vachon, President and CEO of the Montreal Port Authority.
The area of Pointe du Moulin is a heritage site of great historical value that is part of the Initiative in New Haven of Montreal and suggesting the development of a large urban project. At the event, the CIS outlined the main lines of his vision for redevelopment of the area.
